More Than a Building: A Hub for Healing, Growth & Belonging
Special Needs Service is engaged in a capital fund campaign to build a new facility in downtown Richmond, Missouri. The new building will allow SNS to fully implement and expand services. The new facility will allow SNS to hire additional support Service Coordinators to provide services for underserved families. The new facility will serve as the hub for SNS services including office space for client services and inclusive activities. The complex will serve as an incubator for our client’s journey towards independence, economic self-sufficiency, and greater quality of life:
The Administration Area will house current clinical staff and provide offices for four additional Service Coordinators. The Administration Area will also include meeting spaces for our newest program, Stabilization Support Services (SSS). SSS provides mental health services and resources for Ray County Citizens without medical insurance that wish to recover.
The Community Area will provide space for inclusive (children and adults, the community’s general population and our special needs clients) activities with our Community Connections program. We can offer opportunities to connect, educate, and celebrate in a multipurpose room with access to both inside and outside amenities.
The Certified Teaching Kitchen will provide clients, family members, and community members with the opportunity to learn how to cook and preserve food. We will have the ability to store food and better address food insufficiency in Ray County.
