Stabilization Support Services (SSS)

Long-Term Impact Award

“Some of the most meaningful work in any community happens quietly— person to person, life to life— helping people rebuild when the world has given them every reason to give up. This year’s Long-Term Impact Award honors one such effort: Stabilization Support Services, known as SSS, a free program of Special needs Services.”

What is SSS?

Stabilization Support Services (SSS) is a 16-week behavioral health program serving up to 20 adults per cohort in Ray County who are experiencing mental health challenges, co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, or the effects of trauma. Through individualized counseling, group therapy, and resource coordination, participants receive the support they need to achieve greater stability, independence, and long-term wellness.

SSS’s outreach

At SSS, we believe hope should never be limited by your zip code. Through our Geography of Hope initiative, we bring compassionate, person-centered behavioral health services to individuals across Ray County, ensuring they have access to the care and support they need close to home. We serve adults experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders through individualized counseling, psychoeducational groups, harm reduction education, resource navigation, and reentry support. By meeting people where they are, we help build resilience, promote recovery, strengthen independence, and create lasting hope for individuals, families, and our community.
