What is SSS?
SSS is four consecutive 90-day Pilot Program to assist adults and their families with generational trauma that are mental decompensating to show stabilization in a 12-week period. The program will intake 15 adults (per 12 weeks) and provide individual counseling for 6 weeks. Group therapy will be provided for the last 6 weeks. It will also include a resource specialist to come up with goals and a plan to meet those goals of unment needs. Goals include helping with independence and sustainability.
SSS’s target population
SSS feels individuals with co-occuring disorders and substance abuse are deserving of services that are catered to their individual needs; services that promote a journey towards an independent and sober life. Our target population is disadvantaged people with no health insurance. This includes those recently discharged from incarceration and re-entering society.
Pilot 1 Update
4 self-referred. 4 met program criteria.
Attendance: 75% completed all 90 days.
Employment: 50% obtained full time job with benefits.
Housing: 50% found permanent housing. 25% found temporary housing.
Mental Health/Sobriety: 75% attend group therapy weekly and profess sobriety.
Insurance: 25% were found eligible for Medicaid (finding employment with benefits affected this percentage).
Pilot 2 Update
19 self-referred. 13 met program criteria.
Attendance: 72% completed all 90 days. Out of the 13 participants, 10 will complete the program and graduate.
Employment: 40% obtained full-time jobs with benefits.
Housing: 80% have permanent housing and 20% have temporary housing= 0% homelessness.
Mental Health/Sobriety: 100% of those still in the program that attend individual therapy weekly are making significant strides towards goals they have developed.
Insurance: 50% have private insurance and 50% were found eligible for Medicaid.
