The Geography of Hope

The Geography of Hope

Part 1

The SNS Board of Directors believes there is a care desert in this rural area that needs to be addressed now— not in a year or two.

That is why SNS is expanding into 912 Walton Way, creating a space designed to bring accessible mental health care, recovery support, recreation, education, and community connection together under one roof.

This expansion will allow SNS to grow our programs across county lines and create:

  • Dedicated clinical and therapy spaces for Stabilization Support Services

  • Additional therapy offices and group spaces

  • A teaching kitchen and expanded Community at Play (CAP) services

  • Accessible public restrooms and meeting spaces

  • An inclusive indoor playground and flexible recreation areas

  • Event, sports, and multi-purpose spaces for the entire community

  • Rental retail spaces to help support long-term sustainability.

SNS believes that a person’s survival should not be dictated by their zip code.

The need for accessible and consistent mental health treatment extends far beyond statistics. Behind every intake, referral, and assessment is a real person whose future may depend on receiving timely support and intervention. Without proper care, individuals struggling with mental illness face increased risks of homelessness, incarceration, relapse, self-harm, and preventable loss of life.

This building is intended to become a destination spot and a wholesome place where connections can grow— a place to celebrate, educate, recreate, heal, and build stronger communities together.
